The University of Zakho issued a new scientific version under the title (the Kurds and Kurdistan in paintings, photographs of historical 1801-1916) on the occasion of the 100 memory of the Sykes-Picot Agreement 1916. The book is written by Dr. (Hooker Taher Tawfiq), Head of the Department of History at the University of Zakho, and its an album containing pictures of the Kurds and their country as well as pictures of tribes and other communities that lived in Kurdistan during the period (1801- 1916). The author got these pictures from books of travelers, politicians, the military, foreign missionaries who visited Kurdistan during that period and have published these paintings and photos that shed the light on many areas of life in Kurdistan, during that period in their books.
