The Career Development Center at Zakho University informs its students and graduates that the door to apply for the Student Leaders Program will be open. The Student Leaders Program is a four-week leadership program. It will be run by the U.S. government in the summer for more than 60 students and graduates from the Middle East.
Selected students and graduates will be sent to universities in the United States to receive academic courses, develop leadership and project management skills, and gain a broader understanding of civil society and joint government work in the United States and the Middle East.
In the program, participants will identify a problem or opportunity that they want to solve or improve in their community.
Of course, participants will have the opportunity to meet with Americans, participate in community service activities, and meet with civil society organizations during the program.
The program will start on 28/06/2023 and until 26/07/2023
Applicant must be:
- between 20 and 24 years old.
- an Iraqi citizen.
- currently resident in Iraq.
- fluent in English.
- enrolled in a university in Iraq.
- enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, have recently graduated, or will start graduate studies in the Fall of 2023.
- of a strong desire to pursue leadership opportunities in his country.
