On Wednesday the 11th of November 2015 at 9:30 a.m. a seminar on Oral History, the Advantages of this Science and its Development at the Universities in the Kurdistan Region Shown at the Example of the Tragedy of Shingal and the Anfal Genocide was held at the Seminar Hall of the Faculty of Humanities by Dr. Parween Nouri Arif, lecturer at the University of Sulaimani, in order to officially record the mentioned tragedies in Kurdish history by taking testimonies from victims and eye witnesses into account. The seminar took place in the presence of Dr. Sherzad Zakaria, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. Hogir Tahir, the Head of the Department of History, and a number of lecturers and students.
