On Sunday, March 22, 2020, at 11:00 AM, the University Council headed by Professor Dr. Lazgin A. Jameel-President of the University of Zakho conducted an online meeting via Google Application-Hangouts Meet) to discuss the future of the education process.

In the beginning, Dr. Lazgin A. Jameel talked about the current situation after the Coronavirus has emerged. Then he appreciated the efforts of the committee of the prevention of COVID-19.  After that, he precisely talked about the education process for the current academic year.

Likewise, the members of the council, Professor Dr. Yaseen T. Mustafa-Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies and Assistant Professor Dr. Karwan F. Sami-Vice President of the University for Students Affairs talked about the preparations of the University of Zakho for electronic education (online). They both mentioned that the University has been working on the electronic system for three years and it has good experience in (creating emails for students, training and teaching students on how to use the system, student's portal, e-library of the university).

Assistant Professor Dr. Karwan Fahmy told the official website of the university that the matter is not new to our university, as the university began three years ago in the stage of applying electronic systems in anticipation of each such emergency.

He added that we have worked during the past years to create more than ten thousand e-mail for students and we held workshops and lectures to explain the Moodle system for professors, and concluded that we have sufficient experience in this field to make what we aspire to achieve.
